The Brits no longer think for themselves

Brits nowadays rely entirely on the TV to tell them what to think on every conceivable subject.

The TV has a very malign effect on people.  It makes them totally and completely passive.
 
Look at the amazing effect of Red Nose Day.  The TV tells them to get excited about it - and they do.

Celebrities are everywhere.  These people do not necessarily have any personal, ethical or spiritual value.  However they have appeared repeatedly on the TV and so the Brits follow their every move.  Their importance and value is grossly exaggerated.

It appeared on the TV, so the Brits watch it and their dulled minds are fascinated.

The tiny group of broadcasters give us ready packaged opinions on every conceivable subject; their views on houses, clothing, the arts, decoration, cars, morality, food, sport, bird watching, royalty, history, national identity and so on and so on have colossal influence on countless millions of people.

The Brits now seem to have a hole in their minds.  They do not think for themselves any more, but rely on the TV to give them thoughts and opinions.

It is all deeply pernicious, weakening and softening.

People sit down in front of the TV after a tiring day's work and after having their evening meal, possibly with a drink, and get very relaxed.  In such a condition they are very open to the suggestions made.  It is like a mild form of trance.  Therapeutic hypnosis is only different in the level of trance induced.

The Brits are like brainwashed zombies.

Eckhart Tolle, the spiritual teacher, has specifically referred to the weakening effect of TV on creativity.

You stare at the screen for hours on end, and your own mind activity completely subsides.... you are linking in to a collectively produced mindstream of a lot of mental activity.... its not yours - you have given up yours, you let yourself be taken over by someone else's mindstream....and you are in a state of semi-consciousness, so it is relaxing, and eventually it depletes you of energy and creatively

Never in human history has such a small number of people had such power to influence such vast numbers of people instantaneously.

This little clique of broadcasters think they are so superior and so enlightened that only they have the correct opinions and so they have a divine right to "educate" the proles into thinking the right things.  Wouldn't do if all the proles out there could say what they want. Got to stop the wrong opinions being heard - in the interests of the people of course.  They ruthlessly manipulate the information.

But who are the people who control this phenemenal power?

Why should these particular people be the ones to control such a power?  

It is probably the most awesome and tne most powerful mind-bending force in the history of the world, yet we the people have no agreed democratic system of ensuring that only the best in our society should have this trust of influencing our children and indeed ourselves.

Then how did they get their present positions?

They were appointed.

Who appointed them?

Other people who were themselves appointed.

Why did they get this power? Did they get elected?  No. They are all self-appointed and self-generating.

We never get a say in who controls this power.  Why not? 

People never question it.  Why not?  Because that thought has not appeared on the TV!!!

Dumb Brits.  One despairs of the supine, pathetic Brits, whose society is being destroyed around them - and they watch on with stupid, vacant, glassy stares.  How spiritually degrading. Forgotten their heritage, forgotten their birthright.

The tiny few control how countless millions think.

Time to democratise this monster.
